  • What inspired you to become a LASIK doctor?
I am passionate about great vision. I became a refractive surgeon because I was immediately drawn to the precision of the surgery and to the immediate and excellent vision I can give my patients.
  • What is the hottest technique you are offering?

I contribute to the field of refractive surgery by doing research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. I am, therefore, offering a number of different treatments many of which are at the leading

edge of my profession. These include laser vision correction with the 5th generation femtosecond lasers, novel methods of ensuring patient comfort and fast recovery after the treatments, and treatments for patients who may have been deemed non-candidates previously.
  • What is the most rewarding part of the job?

Achieving great vision for my patients

  • What are the latest trends in the industry?
– We can now do vision correction surgery and achieve superb vision for many patients who we couldn’t treat before. For example, patients who were told their prescriptions were too high for laser vision correction, corneas too thin, or too uneven, can now have vision correction with lens implant surgery, for example. 50+ year old patients who want see without glasses both far and near, can now have lens replacement surgery with very sophisticated lenses that can flex like lenses in younger patients and turn back the clock for many people so that they can enjoy reading and computer work without reading glasses.

Her commitment to advancing refractive surgery options for patients has led her to be considered one California’s top ophthalmologists.
