What Does Lack of Sleep Really Do to Your Body?

According to recent studies conducted by Dr. Charles Czeisler, America’s chronically sleep-deprived lifestyle can have detrimental effects on your health. Some of the health risks associated with lack of sleep include an increased potential for heart disease, diabetes, cancer, metabolic syndrome and high blood pressure, among others.

In addition, immune health is weakened in those that regularly sleep less than seven hours, obesity can be a result of lack of sleep and life expectancy can even be shortened.
