What do you consider your ultimate specialty, and what about this sets you apart from the rest of the field?
My ultimate specialty is giving hope and help to people with all types of hair loss who have been unable to get results from seeing their general dermatologist and other hair loss specialists. I spend more time and energy and am willing to “go the distance” to achieve optimal results. I have at my disposal all the latest and most innovative treatment options and get superior results with my hands-on approach to patient care.
What do you see as your practice’s greatest success in 2012? How will you push past this in the coming year?
2012 has seen the perfecting of the newest minimally invasive hair transplantation procedure known as follicular unit extraction (FUE). We have developed a special double-grafting technique that results in both density and natural looking results with minimal downtime and virtually no visible scarring.
In 2013, we look forward to new hair growth enhancement technology using the results of advances in stem cell research.
How do you keep your practice up to date with a constantly changing medical world?
I undertake regular literature review and attend and participate in medical conferences. I also teach Dermatology residents at the New York University Medical Center, considered to have the finest Clinical Dermatology program in the nation.
