Background:

Dr. Zeid Kayali is a transplant hepatologist at University of Southern California.  He received his MD degree from Aleppo University, Syria. He is American Board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterolohy and Hepatology, and Liver Transplantation. After finishing his Gastroenterology fellowship at University of Southern California, he assumed the position of Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at Loma Linda University, California from year 2005-2011.  His practice focuses on liver transplantation and hepatology. His main research interest is hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatitis C.  He is conducting multiple research trials in treating hepatitis C and liver cancer. Dr. Zeid Kayali established and runs outreach programs for liver disease and liver transplantation in Southern California and Las Vegas areas.  Dr. Zeid Kayali has multiple publications in peer review journals and serves as referee in multiple medical journals.  He is a review board member for UNOS region 5 for liver transplantation.
