Dr. Peter Wöhrle is a world-renowned dental implant and prosthetic specialist, practicing in Newport Beach, California.  Upon completion of the baccalaureate degree in Germany, he attended Harvard University , where he graduated "cum laude" from the School of Dental Medicine.  Subsequently, Dr. Wohrle completed two post-doctoral specialty programs at the same school:  In Prosthodontics and in Implant Dentistry.  In addition, Dr. Wohrle holds a Master of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology degree from Harvard, and is a certified dental laboratory technician trained in Switzerland.

He actively teaches other dentists worldwide in the latest implant and esthetic procedures.  In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Wöhrle is involved in cutting-edge research, both in clinical and basic science applications, such as immediate loading of dental implants.  He holds numerous US- and European patents on implant designs, and has extensively published in the dental literature.  In addition, he co-authored the leading patient education book: ”A patient’s guide to dental implants”.

Asked why he chose to seek dual specialty status and to further extend his formal training, Dr. Wöhrle replied: “Total control of the entire process allows for a much better outcome, more often,  and that gives us an unfair advantage.  And we are taking advantage of it every day.”

While most of his international clientele require extensive rehabilitative work, Dr. Wöhrle is also known for his superior esthetic outcomes on natural teeth.  “Just because I am known for those wonderful full arch implant supported restorations, I love working on natural teeth, making them even more beautiful”, Wöhrle replied.  “We have our in-house state-of-the-art laboratory, staffed by artist technicians, and “exceeding patient’s expectations is what we do routinely”.
