Despite the struggling economy, Americans are still finding the money to get cosmetic surgery.
Americans spent over $10 billion on cosmetic surgery in 2011. This is up almost 3% compared to 2010. And not only are Americans getting more procedures done, they’re exploring different types. Chin augmentation saw a surge of popularity, up an entire 71% compared to 2010. Even men have been taking a new interest in cosmetic surgery, with an all time high of 9% of patients being male.
Breast augmentation surgery is still the most common procedure in the US, with rhinoplasty coming in at a close second.
