Luxury beauty seekers are now afforded a new option when choosing the vendor of their must-have products. Igniting competition with established brands such as Sephora and Feel Unique, Amazon is hoping to provide cosmetics, skincare products and perfume from the luxury companies that their clients expect.
Chance Wales, Amazon’s director of beauty and health & personal care, told WWD, “We have luxury shoppers. What we have been lacking is luxury brands, and we hope this is the first step to marry our customer’s needs with what brands expect in terms of displaying and selling their luxury [products].”
Now, Amazon clients who typically had to search elsewhere for the quality skincare products they are accustomed to, such as Dr. Brandt Skincare, Jack Black, Deborah Lipmann, and Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, can find everything they need in one space with a simple online shopping experience. For those luxury shoppers who are not familiar with the Amazon experience, this new site addition might be a great opportunity to try it out, along with some new products.
