When we featured La Prairie’s $1,000 platinum face cream in our winter Gift Guide, we didn’t realize we were reporting on what may become a trend of über expensive skincare. But the latest collaboration between La Mer and British royal bespoke furniture designer David Linley has resulted in a $1,063 bottle of face cream…in a pretty case. One 60 ml bottle of La Mer’s essential Crème De La Mer moisturizing cream with a silver spatula will be displayed in Linley’s limited edition Luxe Keepsake Box, crafted from sycamore and finished in distinct green. For those with sisters, daughters or friends with sticky (or, in this case, well-moisturized) fingers, the box also comes with a custom lock and key. Only fifteen of these special boxes will be available for sale.
